Toolkit
INTERACTER includes a set of supporting utility programs known as the Toolkit. A royalty free distribution is also included, allowing INTSETUP, INTPRINT and INTVIEW to be distributed with INTERACTER-based programs.
INTFORM
A screen form designer/editor for use with INTERACTER's Forms Manager. The program creates INTERACTER Form Definition (IFD) files which can be loaded into INTERACTER-based programs using IFormLoad or it can generate form definitions as Fortran source. Forms can be designed from scratch using mouse and/or keyboard. Existing form definitions can be viewed, tested and updated.
INTHELP
On-line help for INTERACTER software developers, providing easy access to summary descriptions of each routine in the library along with their arguments.
INTPRINT
Post-processes INTERACTER HP-GL, CGM, Lotus PIC or HP-GL/2 plotter files to create high resolution graphics hardcopy in various formats including HP PCL (LaserJet, etc.), Epson/IBM dot-matrix (9/24 pin), Epson Stylus ESC/P2, PostScript and AutoCAD DXF.
INTSETUP
An INTERACTER initialisation file editor which allows all of the settings in the file to be selected via simple forms and menus, rather than using a text editor to modify settings manually. This greatly simplifies user environment configuration for INTERACTER-based programs. INTSETUP includes context-sensitive help.
INTVIEW
Previews multiple INTERACTER HP-GL, Lotus PIC, CGM or HP-GL/2 files either sequentially (full screen) or all on the same screen. INTVIEW saves wasted plotting time and simplifies comparison of multiple plots. Also features an unattended rolling demo option.
GraphEd (Windows only)
GraphEd is a Presentation Graphics plot designer developed for use with Winteracter, but which is of equal benefit to INTERACTER users. It requires a Win32 operating system or Windows 3.1x with Win32s installed.
GraphEd simplifies graph plot design. It generates Fortran source code which can be easily incorporated in INTERACTER applications, which will then run on any platform (i.e while GraphEd itself runs under Win32, the code it generates is platform independent). It supports all the graph types and graph plotting options provided by INTERACTER's Presentation Graphics subroutine groups.
SetupEd (Windows only)
SetupEd is an install script editor. It allows the user to create and maintain scripts to use with the supplied generalised install program, SETUP (which is freely distributable with INTERACTER based software). Dialogs and backdrops used in the install program may be customised and tested from within the editor. Various installation functions are selectable, including environment variable assignment, file associations and menu shortcuts (Windows 9x/Me/NT4/2K) or Program Folders/Items (NT3.51 or 3.1 with Win32s).
