Software Requirements
All Intel C++ Windows compilers require Microsoft Visual C++ .NET 2002 Standard edition or above. Visual Studio 2005 Express Edition is available by free download from Microsoft's web-site but this supports command-line only. Visual Studio 2005 Standard & Professional offer full IDE support.
Software Requirements to Develop IA-32 or Itanium-based Applications on an IA-32 System: Windows NT* 4.0 with Service Pack 6 or higher, Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Server 2003
Note: Microsoft Windows 98, Windows 98 SE, and Windows Millennium Edition are no longer supported for product development, but are supported for application deployment.

Email versions are electronic licence downloads (ESD) with an emailed software key (if you require a CD, please order the CD version).

All new licences (except student versions) include one year support with provision for downloadable updates. You can get continued support after that year by purchasing Software Support Renewal (SSR). Academic licences are usually renewed by purchasing a new licence and one year SSR starts from the registration date. Academics are advised to wait until their existing SSR needs renewing before they register the new product.
